Welcome to CommuniCanine where your dog can learn all the skills necessary to thrive with their human families.

If you're not able to make it to a normal class then this online course is for you!

The course is for dogs of any age but remember that until your puppy has had his or her final vaccination, the training must be done at home.

Dogs don’t come knowing the key skills needed to be a Good Boy or Girl and, just like young children, they need teachers to show them the way. 

In this Good Dog class you'll teach your dog how to be the best boy or girl your family could wish for including:

• Sitting and staying when asked 
• Settling and chilling when asked
• Coming back when called, no matter what else is going on
• Walking with their person on a loose lead
• Being the best and fastest dog at fetch in the park 
• Leaving stuff when their person says, even when it’s their favourite food
• Listening to your every word
• Doing simple tricks to prove to your neighbours and friends they really are the best boy or girl in town

Of course, this will require a little effort from you too. Like any parent, showing your dog what’s right and wrong is the key to your dog graduating from the Good Dog class. In this class, the lessons have been squished into short 5 minute daily sessions, Monday-Friday. Commit to just 5 minutes a day and marvel at the results.

Who are we...

CommuniCanine was established in 2007 to help dog owners with dog training and to overcome behavioural issues. From Puppy School and Canine Life Skills Classes to one on one consultations, I can help you become a confident dog owner.  

Some services are available online as well as in person.

Using positive reinforcement methods and communicating with dogs in a way they can understand, you’ll quickly see a difference in your dogs’ behaviour. 

Every dog deserves an owner they can trust, who guides them through life in a kind, gentle way. In return, your dog will give you joy and devoted companionship that will enrich your life.

I cover the Manawatu, Rangitikei and Horowhenua area, but online solutions mean I can successfully train dogs all over. 

With the online options, you can train at any time. I am available to contact personally, Monday – Saturday 9 am - 5 pm.
