Touch (15€ +VAT)
Touch is an extremely useful trick to Teach your dog. It’s where the dog puts their nose in the palm of your hand and keeps it there until Released. Super effective at managing your dog at vet visits, getting calm focus when out, and it’s a fantastic recall tool.
You’ll need lots of yummy treats, a comfy spot and that’s it. See you on the course.
Sit & Down (15€ +VAT)
The humble “sit” is probably the most commonly given command in the dog world. Join our very simple class to ensure that your dog has a “sit” and “down” that you can depend on.
Play Dead (15€ +VAT)
Building on our class on how to teach sit and down, getting your dog to “play dead” is always a crowd pleaser!
This class breaks down the trick into each part so that you can follow our step by step guide and have your dog “playing dead” in no time.
Learning to Walk Nicely on the Lead (40€ +VAT)
One of the questions I am most often asked is
“How do I stop my dog pulling on the lead?”
If you need to know the answer then this is the course for you.
In these classes I will take you through how to make your dog want to walk next to you step by step.
How to stop your dog lunging and barking at others on a walk (65€ +VAT)
A step by step, real life course that helps you take your dog from reactive, barking, lunging problem to a dog that calmly passes others without fuss.

Who are we...
The Dog Lady was set up in 2014 to provide professional care and training for dogs.
We provide doggie daycare, grooming and training services. Our daycare is designed and managed with the happiness and safety of our dogs foremost in our mind, our grooming salon operates with qualified staff and only the best of canine products and our training school is ran by Jill who is a qualified canine trainer and experienced canine behaviourist. We specialise in helping you to develop your dogs into happy, content, healthy and safe family members that you will really enjoy having around. We offer group classes, one-to-one consultations and home visits to help you and your dog and deal with any issue from house training to dangerous or nusiance behaviours and we also offer online classes for you to work through from the comfort of your own home at your own pace.
Our focus is on providing modern, easily accessible effective and smart training solutions that work and are backed up by research and evidence.
We use lots of different styles gained from years of experience but none involove using pain or fear to train a pet dog, thats our ethical choice. Instead we use motivational techniques which include using markers, toys and food to train your dog. We honestly believe that this makes for a safer pet dog in your home.
We are based in Dungarvan Co Waterford and would normally cover a circa 35 mile radius, but we can offer on line assistance anywhere in the world.
Our team are physically available and on site 7.30-6.00 Tuesday to Friday, and 9-2 on Saturdays, however you can access our on line courses any time.
